Hawked, a new PvPvE shooter, is entering a global closed alpha test starting November 24th. You can sign up today to try the colorful extraction shooter. In the closed alpha for this brand new IP, you can play alone or in teams of three in the hunt mode, where you have to collect artifacts that give points and power-ups. The closed alpha is only for PC, but the game will come to last-gen and current-gen consoles in the future.

In Hawked, you explore the mysterious and remote X-Island, an island where numerous heroes fight against other players and creatures to collect artifacts. Alongside these player and AI enemies, there are also puzzles, traps, and environmental hazards to contend with. You will “run, jump, surf, zipline and soar through an ever-evolving world filled with deadly dangers, lush jungles and ancient ruins.” Sign up for the closed alpha here.

The artifacts you will hunt will give you and your team points and give you “in-game advantages” that you can use in future games. You can obtain these artifacts by looting them from defeated players or by collecting glyphs from PvE encounters. These glyphs can be used to open a vault containing multiple artifacts, giving your team a solid advantage if you manage to extract them successfully.

The Hawked theatrical trailer combines comic-style onomatopoeic elements with visual flair à la Into The Spiderverse. Seems like Need For Speed Unbound isn’t the only thing that’s trending towards more cartoon graphics.

The heroes, mercenaries for the treasure-hunting Renegade, use various equipment such as grappling hooks and means of transport such as ziplines to navigate the ruins of X-Isle and find an artifact.

We also get a glimpse of the different weapons and how the artifacts can be used to activate them. You see both a submachine gun and a purple flashgun, which are used to hunt down the monsters on the island.

The upcoming shooter will be published in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region and Turkey by The 4 Winds Entertainment, a video game company specializing in localizing global games for the region.
