Borderlands 3 gets age-rated for Switch in Europe

The European age rating body, PEGI, has listed a Nintendo Switch version of Borderlands 3.

The game developed by Gearbox and published by 2K Games appears on its website with a version for the hybrid console that has not yet been officially announced, despite being rumored for years.

At the beginning of 2017, the director of the North American studio, Randy Pitchford, declared that they had been in talks with Nintendo, but that they did not go ahead because the Japanese company “had other priorities.”

A couple of years ago, in 2020, the rumors surfaced again after the publication of some job offers that pointed to the port of Switch, and last year Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut was listed for Switch, although 2K Games came out stating that it was a mistake.

The PEGI listing does not specify if the Nintendo Switch port will be the full version or if the additional content will be sold separately. Taking into account the date in which we are and that the game has been on the market for more than three years, it is probably the second option.

Regarding the official announcement, right now it is speculated with the early morning of December 9, during The Game Awards ceremony.

Borderlands 3 is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
