The developers of Flying Wild Hog are giving us the first round of fixes for Evil West today. We’re getting a new camera control option and some bug fixes.

The Survival ShooterEvil West“ hasn’t been on the market for long, and the first game update is already coming. Flying Wild Hog fixes some bugs in the game and there are two new features.

The new “Evil West update 1.03‘ is now live and available to download for PlayStation, Xbox and PC via Steam. We don’t have the file size yet, but will update it shortly.

Depending on which platform you play on, the download size will differ, as will the version number: PS4 1.03, PS5 1.000.003 and PC 1.0.4.

  • You can now toggle camera shake in game options.
  • You can now restart the current mission from the Missions section of the Lore menu.

  • You can now change the sprint action on the keyboard to a toggle instead of hold-to-sprint.
  • Arrow cursor keys are no longer locked to camera movement.
  • Added the exit button to the EULA screen when launching the game for the first time.
  • You can now adjust the FOV (Field of View) angle in the options menu, which is especially useful if you have an ultrawide monitor.


  • The player will no longer get blocked while replaying the “Remote RI Outpost” mission.
  • The player can no longer be blocked while destroying the Glamor Seals in the “Smoke and Mirrors” mission.
  • The player will not get blocked in the Man of People mission while destroying the monster nests. Note: The mission must be restarted from the Lore menu for this fix to work.


  • Fixed analog stick player movement not working on some controllers.
  • Fixed a battle sound that remained active for one of the large enemies after the enemy died.
  • Fixed the player being able to throw the enemy out of the arena in The Questionable Cargo mission.
  • Fixed the cases where starting or loading the mission could take too long and the screen never faded out of the black.
  • Fixed some of the large enemies’ HP pools being incorrect if the player switched difficulties during the encounter.
  • Fixed the player being able to shoot Revolver even on cooldown when combined with switching from Scorcher.
  • Fixed one of the traversal interactions being active during the encounter in the Where Oil Tastes Like Blood mission.
  • Fixed player animation stuttering when using the rifle near the enemy.
  • Fixed the Crippling Rod not always working properly against the Highborn ranged attacks.
  • Fixed an issue where players could get a softlock if they both died during the tutorial in The First Spark mission.
