This Mute Knight of Westeros, who appeared in four episodes of Game Of Throneswas known as the executioner of King Joffrey, the one who beheaded the beloved Ned Stark in the public square, at the end of season 1.
“This is the announcement we never wanted to make. We make it with a heavy heart: Wilko Johnson has passed away”reads a post on Johnson’s Twitter account on Wednesday. “He died at his home on Monday, November 21. Please respect the privacy of the family at this very sad time.”

No cause of death has been revealed. Johnson had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2013, but recovered after undergoing major surgery.
In addition to his iconic stint in Game Of ThronesWilko Johnson had a musical career as the guitarist of the English rock band Dr. Feelgood.
