Gran Turismo: Polyphony Digital is considering bringing the franchise to PC

The PlayStation-exclusive franchise could eventually come to PC. Nothing is certain yet, but Polyphony Digital is at least already considering this possibility.

A real hit on the PC

This emerges from a conversation between GTPlanet and the creator of the series, Kazunori Yamaguchi. Many major series such as God of War, Horizon, Uncharted or Spider-Man have somehow found their way onto the PC. Yamaguchi could also consider such a development.

“I think so,” he replies. Nevertheless, Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title that could therefore cause problems on other platforms, even if it already runs equally well on the PS4 and PS5 consoles. Of course, the visual quality differs on both PlayStation versions.

“There aren’t many platforms where the game could run natively in 4K/60p, so one way to make that possible is to limit the platform. It’s not an easy issue, but of course we’re looking at it and considering it. ”

Although there are already many racing game simulations for the PC, Gran Turismo is a really big name here that has been missing on the platform for a long time. Gran Turismo 7 in particular would make a great PC game, don’t you think? According to Yamaguchi, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on developments in Sony’s PC ports.
