The Snipewriter 5H is a charging weapon, but with a little twist. Holding down the ZR button creates a charge, allowing the weapon to hold five separate shots from a single charge. When fully charged, the weapon’s base damage is 60, and when partially charged it drops to 40-60.

The secondary weapon for the Snipewriter 5H is the Sprinkler, which allows players to provide much-needed cover in certain areas, and it features the Tacticooler, which can provide valuable buffs to allies.

While this new weapon offers an increased rate of fire compared to other Charger-style weapons in Splatoon 3, there is a trade-off here. Each of the five shots is significantly less powerful than the other Chargers, meaning it won’t have the stopping ability of Splatterscope. With that in mind, the Snipewriter 5H is best suited for a support and cover role.

Once the weapon is loaded, press the ZR button several times to unload saved shots. Keep in mind that, like many other Splatoon series chargers, you cannot store a charge. Once you start shooting you won’t be able to stop otherwise you will lose all unspent frames. Take advantage of the Snipewriter 5H’s range and stay out of the way by keeping enemies at bay from your allies with rollers and squish machines so they can sneak in and mark the area.

The Sprinkler’s secondary weapon lends itself well to this support role, allowing players to scatter ink in all directions when the going gets tough. Deploy it in the center of the fight and watch the other side scatter. Once your special charge is charged, send it out, as the drinks inside the Tacticooler can help turn the tide of battle.
