Halupenjo is an interesting new Pokemon in Pokemon Crimson and Crimson, but to get it you need to catch a Chilli Angel. That’s how it’s done.

Pokemon Crimson and Crimson How to catch Chilingel and evolve - Pokémon Crimson and Crimson: How to catch Chilingel and evolve it into HalupenjoThere are a whole host of new Pokemon in Pokemon Crimson and Crimson, but Halupenjo is by far one of the most intriguing. This strange two-headed creature is a combination of the Fire and Plant types and looks like something straight out of Plants vs. Zombies. Those looking for a good early-game Grass-type Pokémon that’s capable of scorching its competitors should snag a Halupenjo as soon as possible. In order to do this, you must first catch a Chilli Angel.

How to find Chiligel in Pokémon Crimson and Crimson

Finding a Chililingel is relatively easy, as the tiny creatures are very common in the areas far west of Grape Academy. On the way through Western Zone 1 and the sizzling desert it shouldn’t be a problem to come across some chili gels. The tiny Pokémon may be a bit more difficult to spot when playing in handheld mode, especially when riding the fast Legendary mount. That’s why you should keep your eyes open and pay attention to small movements to discover the tiny Pokémon.

How to evolve Chilingel into Halupenjo

Fortunately, the development from Chilingel to Halupenjo is very simple. All you have to do is give a chili gel flint to suspend. It doesn’t matter what level the chili gel is on. Once you select the Flint from your inventory and use it on the Pokémon, it evolves into Halupenjo. There are several ways to find a Flint in both Pokémon Crimson and Pokémon Crimson, and many will come across the stone as they explore. Grab any glowing objects you see on the ground and keep an eye out for beams of red light that signal Poké Balls to collect in each area.

How to get a guaranteed flint

Although you can find a flint simply by exploring the vast region of Paldea, there are a few other ways to obtain these stones. The first option is to buy a stone from one of the many gift shops that can be found throughout the region. These stores sell a range of goods from Poké Balls to Rotom phone cases to Evolution Stones and more. Depending on which gate you enter the area from, you will find such a shop either in Garrafosa or in Fermanca City. There’s also one in Mesalona City. Evolution Stones cost about 3,000 Pokédollars.

Another method of getting a guaranteed Flint is by catching Pokémon and unlocking their entries in the Pokédex. If you go to the Pokédex and press the X button on your controller, you’ll find a special trophy area that rewards you with items if you spot enough Pokémon. If you manage to find 60 different Pokemon, catch them to get their entries, you will be rewarded with a flint.
