Steam was unable to sync DOTA 2

DOTA 2 is one of the popular free-to-play MOBA video games developed by Valve Corporation. This game can be played in matches between 2 teams of 5 players. But like any other game, there are many errors in DOTA 2, and one of them is that the Steam Cloud cannot sync DOTA 2. In this article, we will look at the solution to this error.

Steam Cloud was unable to sync DOTA 2

Exit Steam and go to the folder named C:Program FilesSteam (this is the default location for installing Steam – if you specify a different installation directory, you will need to navigate to it).
  1. Delete all files in this folder except folders Steamapps and Userdata and Steam.exe (this file is listed as an application and has a black and white Steam logo)
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Then run Steam.exe from the Steam installation folder, not from an already existing shortcut.
  4. After starting Steam, recheck the original issue.

Note. This process will not affect your installed games.
