The Blacklist Season 10 episode count is confirmed!

In case you were worried that The Blacklist Season 10’s later start date might impact the episode count, here’s some good news.

According to a report from TVLine, the James Spader drama will continue to give you the same episode count as it has in the past: 22. This is of course exciting news, but absolutely we still have questions about how they will be delivered.

Let’s talk a bit in this direction. As the series will be paired with Magnum PI and Found when it premieres on February 26, there won’t be many two-hour broadcasts. This opens the door to two different scenarios.

  1. Air season 10 until the end of the summer – NBC could opt for this solution and possibly change the show’s airtime once the other series of the season are finished in May. Summer TV is much more lucrative than it used to be, but in general we don’t think the channel has high hopes in terms of viewership for this series. Much of its money, after all, comes from streaming.
  2. Split the season in two – The first half could air this winter/spring, and the second half could air at a similar time in 2024. Note that this is not what we want, but it would allow NBC to effectively having two sets for the streak that would each end with the May sweeps.

Even though The Blacklist won’t premiere for more than three months, one thing remains clear, we still have a lot to talk about here. Hopefully that doesn’t change over the next few weeks. We miss the series so much as it is!
