The invisible man is a sensitive vampire, and death comes quickly if you don’t know exactly what to answer.

The Witcher 3 The Invisible Ones Questions Answered in Invisible - The Witcher 3: The Invisible One's Questions Answered in Invisible to the EyeThe Invisible Man is a powerful ancient vampire that Geralt might encounter at the end of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt expansion Blood and Wine. In fact, he’s so powerful that one wrong comment can end the game instantly.

You might end up frustrated with the invisible man, as this might be the only time in The Witcher 3 that choosing the wrong dialogue can result in instant game over. Even worse, there are two dialogue trees that can lead to death, one right after the other. Luckily, the right choices aren’t too difficult to spot.

Where to find the invisible man

At the start of the Night of the Long Teeth quest, Regis gives Geralt a choice: he can find Damien and retrieve Syanna as Dettlaff wants, or he can contact Orianna and ask her how to talk to the invisible one. Orianna asks for help for her orphanage, but after that she will tell Geralt where to go.

Regis then meets up with Geralt and gives him one last chance to find Syanna, but he goes along if Geralt insists. The first meeting with the invisible man ends badly no matter what Geralt says, and then Geralt must explore the caves where the invisible man lives to find a sacrifice and a greeting that will make him listen.

Incidentally, this is also the only chance to find the six-piece Hen Gaidth armor set. The cave will be closed forever after the end of the quest, so be sure to explore it thoroughly.

What to say about the invisible

Once Geralt has the correct item and says the correct greeting, the invisible will overhear him. However, his patience is not yet very pronounced. On the first dialogue choice, Geralt has two gray questions to ask the invisible man. The invisible man will answer one of the two questions, but then warn Geralt to get to the point. If you then choose the other question, the invisible man kills Geralt and you have to reload the game.

After Geralt brings up Dettlaff, the invisible man tells Geralt that he doesn’t care. You can then choose one of three options to convince the invisible man, but only one of them leads to the goal. Just like in the earlier dialogue, Geralt receives a warning if he chooses a wrong answer, and the invisible man kills him if he chooses wrong again. And while all three options might make sense to Geralt, the Invisible is only interested in option 3: “Dettlaff means trouble for you too.” Say this, and the Invisible will agree to help Geralt.

Afterwards, Geralt and Regis meet up with Dettlaff in the ruins of Tesham Mutna. The meeting doesn’t go well, but at least Geralt survived the conversation with the invisible man.
